Introduction

We have always believed that the future happiness & safety of our children & grand children depend on how much money or asset we have amassed for them. In fact we are being much oblivious to the fact that the happiness of our loved ones also lies in creating a healthy & pollution free world from them to live in. If we wish to make our surrounding a better place to live in for the future generation, let’s make a vow to discard plastic & switch to reusable, bio-degradable & eco-friendly paper products in our daily life. 

Plastic….. Plastic……Plastic Everywhere

Plastic is omnipresent!!! Plastic is cheap, durable, & easy to use that it has become a major part of our lives. Everyday, more & more people are using & discarding plastic in huge amount more than the earth could digest. All used & discarded plastic disposables & other plastic objects get accumulated as dangerous garbage in the environment. Concurrently the production & application of plastic is also ever increasing. It shows that, although the threat of plastic has reached alarming proposition all over the globe, it looks unlikely to subside until we take steps to personally tackle this menace.

It’s a pity that we use plastic for everything although we know it is non bio-degradable & is posing a serious threat to our environment & animal life. Plastic does not breakdown in nature even after hundreds of years & causes enormous harm to the animals in land & at sea. Animals eat it or get entangled in it. Since plastic is in-digestible, it can choke, block the intestines or cause infection or in most cases death to those animals that consume it. And plastic objects made of vinyl chloride or vinyl dine chloride emit a dangerous chemical known as dioxins we burned at low temperatures or left smoldering, which is hazardous for the mankind.

Although we are all well aware of the hazards of plastic, we are still using it because we are not bothered as long as it doesn’t pose any immediate or personal threat. If the use of plastic increases at such an alarming rates despite numerous high profile campaigns by the governments & social organizations, the world may one day suffocate to death. We, as social minded individuals should care for our environment & save it from any future catastrophe to help our children & grand children live in a healthy & pollution free world and take to the use of environment safe materials in our daily life.
